Warranty Service
I sincerely approach each service/repair in a cost effective and conservative manner. Please refer to
the various phases or levels of service and repairs. FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS!
- LUBRICATION & ADJUSTMENTS:
- This routine in–home service is recommended every 2–4 years on most modern day clock
movements. The environment (heating, air–conditioning, humidity & etc) within your home
will have an effect on how often this may be necessary. Please note that this procedure will NOT
correct or restore previously worn materials such as bushings, pivots or levers. In the event your
clock should fail within 90 days of completion, I will credit the previously paid labor fees toward
one of the following procedures: 1) Cleaning & Overhaul (Rebuild⁄Restoration) or
2) New Movement Installation.
*CLEANING & OVERHAUL (REBUILD⁄RESTORATION):
- This detailed procedure is recommended every 8–12 years or when the movement does not respond
to Lubrication & Adjustments. This labor intense service CANNOT be performed in your home.
The movement must be brought into my repair shop due to the chemicals/solutions used, the machining
procedures performed, and the lengthy time required. The warranty covers service performed and parts
installed by me for 2 years. If additional parts or labor become necessary within the warranty period,
then the customer will be charged only for the parts.
*NEW MOVEMENT INSTALLATION:
- This procedure is recommended when replacement movements are available and the cost of a Cleaning
& Overhaul procedure exceeds the cost of a new movement installation. The warranty covers service
performed and parts installed by me for 3 years. If additional parts or labor become necessary
within the warranty period, then the customer will be charged only for the parts.
ESTIMATES:
- Written Estimates require research & preparation. Therefore, Estimates are subject to an Estimate
Fee should customer decide against having the work done. Estimates will not include unforeseen
parts or labor when noted.
